- Motivation to attend church and other services/studies can come from wanting to grow in faith and having a good community of believers to worship with,
- We can share our faith by loving others like God loves us. It is more effective to lead by example than to go door to door asking people to believe.
- We are all shepherds from the back and sheep from the front. Strong mentors are a great way to speak the truth in love.
- We should have a balance of believers and non-believers in our lives. The non-believers should not weaken our faith, but we should still know how to live in the real world.
- You will face EVERY struggle in college. Drugs, alcohol, homosexuality, sex, morals, ethics, the list goes on. This is why it is important to attend church and find a bible study group.
- You can prepare yourself for these trials by knowing who you are. Set boundaries and don't cross them due to pressure.
- Studying the bible completely depends on the individual. Scripture based community bible studies are a great resource
- In order to stay close to God in college you MUST find a worshipping community.
- A mentor should be a strong person who knows the Lord and is not afraid to speak the truth of God into your life.
- You cannot avoid falling into bad behavior and sinful habits because sin and satan are real. We must remember though, that we are saved by Grace. Let him guide you out of temptation.surr
- Relationships take work and time, but there are some that change and grow over time. Thank the people who influence you and let them know that you need them.
Kristie Moor:
- The church has positively impacted my life. It is important to find this type of community in college, and everywhere else you will go in life.
- Making church a priority isn't, and shouldn't be hard. If something is important to you, you will make time for it. Clear Sunday mornings completely and surround yourself with people you actually want to see every week,
- In order to share your faith with others, you just need to live your life out as God would wish. They will see him through you. Speak about him as often as possible. I ask people if they have prayer requests.
- Let your relationship with Christ shine through you and you will attract the kind of people who appreciate that.
- Surround yourself with people who help you grow and who influence you well.
- Find someone who can mentor you and help you by pointing out your faults and bringing the truth of the Lord to the life you live.
- Make sure that you consult the Christians around you.
